Partial Hospitalization Program
We accept most Health insurances
At 1000 Hills Recovery and Treatment Center we offer a Partial Hospitalization Program or PHP. Partial Hospitalization Programs are the most intense treatment one can get in an outpatient setting. They provide a structure of outpatient psychiatric services instead of the addict having to do an inpatient psychiatric treatment program; this is also called day treatment.
1000 HILLS Offers PHP Addiction Rehab
Since most people with addiction issues also have mental health disorders, dual diagnosis treatment is very important. Our Partial Hospitalization Program focuses on treating both substance abuse issues and any mental health conditions the addict may suffer from. PHP provides comprehensive care and focuses on the overall treatment of the person.
Our Partial Hospitalization Program at 1000 Hills provides more extensive treatment than our regular Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), but it is less than a full Inpatient Rehab Program. With PHP, the individual comes to a treatment for up to 7 days a week, and then is able to return home in the evening. PHP’s were developed so that people could receive the treatment they need without being away from their families or jobs. PHP programs are also believed to reduce costs.
Benefits of Partial Hospitalization Programs
Partial Hospitalization Programs programs are good for people that have had severe issues with drugs and alcohol, have experienced a previous overdose, have higher chances of relapse, or for those that may still be experiencing intense cravings for substances. Partial Hospitalization Programs are also good for people that are still going through detox and experiencing some withdrawal symptoms. PHP’s have more access to medical professionals and staff than regular Intensive Outpatient Programs do.
Partial Hospitalization Programs are great for someone that has completed an Inpatient Treatment Program, but still feel like they need more treatment and care. They are good for people that don’t quite feel stable enough to go right back into living a normal life. PHPs provide a lot of support and can help individuals better prepare to transition themselves back into real life. These programs are also good at providing structure. The time commitment they require gives those in recovery a less chance of having a relapse.
Partial Hospitalization (PHP) Offers HOPE
Partial Hospitalization Programs can be in either a mental health community based setting or sometimes even a hospital setting. Individuals are typically there for four to eight hours each day, at least 5 days a week, but for up to 7 days a week. Each person will participate in individual and group counseling sessions, support groups, behavioral therapy, skill building activities, educational groups, fitness and nutrition, and medication management for psychiatric conditions.
Partial Hospitalization Programs work together to help an individual heal from both their addiction and mental health disorders so they can achieve a long-lasting recovery.
